Global DNS Propagation Checker
Verify if your DNS changes have propagated across servers worldwide. Check A, AAAA, MX, CNAME, TXT, and other record types.
Understanding DNS Propagation
When you update DNS records, changes don't appear instantly worldwide. DNS servers cache records for the duration of their TTL (Time To Live). Until caches expire and refresh, some servers show old data while others show new.
Typical Propagation Times
- Low TTL (300s): 5-30 minutes
- Default TTL (3600s): 1-4 hours
- High TTL (86400s): 24-48 hours
Tips for Faster Propagation
Lower your TTL before making changes, wait for old TTL to expire, make your changes, then restore normal TTL. This minimizes the window of inconsistency.
