Accessibility Statement

Our target

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. That is a target we work toward continuously rather than a certificate we claim to have been awarded. We do not claim full or "100%" conformance, because a site of this size will always have edge cases; we would rather tell you where we stand and keep improving.

What we have done

• Semantic HTML structure with a single main landmark and a "Skip to main content" link on every page.
• Text and interactive elements checked against WCAG AA contrast ratios.
• Keyboard access to navigation, menus and links, with visible focus indicators.
• Descriptive text alternatives for meaningful images; decorative graphics hidden from assistive technology.
• Labelled navigation and breadcrumbs, and a responsive layout that works down to small screens and when text is enlarged.
• Respect for the "reduce motion" system preference.

Known limitations

We are aware of areas that may not yet fully meet our target and are working on them:

• Some older blog articles may contain heading structures or link text that are not yet ideal for screen-reader navigation.
• A small number of decorative illustrations convey information best described in the surrounding text; we are reviewing these.

If you hit a barrier that is not listed here, please tell us — real reports are more useful than any audit.
