Refund & Cancellation Policy
Domains work differently from most online purchases: the moment a domain is registered, the registry charges for the full term and the name is issued to you. This page explains, plainly, what can be refunded and what cannot — so there are no surprises.
Last updated: 2026. This policy sits alongside our Terms of Service.
Domain registrations and renewals
When you register or renew a domain, we pay the registry for the whole term straight away, and most registries treat that charge as final and non-refundable. For that reason, domain registration and renewal fees are generally non-refundable once the domain has been registered or renewed.
Some generic TLDs offer a short registry "add grace period" immediately after registration during which a registration can be deleted for credit. Where the registry for your TLD offers this and its conditions are met, we will pass that option on to you. It is not available for every TLD, and premium, promotional and many country-code domains are excluded. Ask us before you register if a grace period matters to you for a specific extension.
Mistaken or duplicate charges
If you were charged in error — a duplicate payment, a charge for a domain that was never issued, or a billing mistake on our side — we will refund it in full. Contact us and we will put it right.
Failed registrations
If a registration cannot be completed (for example the name was taken in the moment between your order and processing, or the registry rejected it), you are not charged for it, and any amount taken is refunded.
EU right of withdrawal
Consumers in the EU have a statutory right of withdrawal for many online purchases. Registering a specific domain is the supply of a digital service that begins immediately and is tailored to you, which limits or removes that right once the domain has been registered at your request. Where the right does apply, you may withdraw within the statutory period by contacting us. Nothing in this policy removes rights you have under mandatory consumer law.
Transfers and add-on services
Incoming transfers usually include a one-year term extension paid to the registry and follow the same non-refundable treatment as a registration. Standalone add-on services are refundable only where they have not yet been provided.
How to request a refund
Email [email protected] with your order details and the reason for the request. We aim to respond within one business day and to resolve valid refunds promptly to the original payment method.
